concrete time

The series "Concrete Time" is made up of twelve concrete pavers which aim to collect and encapsulate remains of different popular neighborhoods that resist against threatening urbanization processes.

Debris, those remains of homes, avenues, bridges, buildings, schools, etc. everyone remain, everyone transform. The city becomes an assembly of rubble and stories. Just as the city we live in, we seek to build ourselves on our own terms, on our vestiges and waste.

This pavers are made up of a mixture of pigmented cement, sand, gravel and pieces of debris collected from the different neighbourhoods located in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, Mexico.

Valle del Mirador neighborhood, Río Nazas Avenue, Chepevera neighborhood, and Villa Florida neighborhood

Each paving stone has a fragment of these territories, no longer another piece of gray soil, but a concrete time.

Monterrey, Mexico
